How many points will be deducted from Shopee before the account is frozen? What actions on Shopee will cause points to be deducted?

When opening a store on an e-commerce platform, merchants must abide by the platform rules, otherwise the store will be deducted points, affecting the store's operation and promotion. So how many points will Shopee deduct before freezing the account? Let us explain this to you below.

If the store you are running on Shopee is frozen for 28 days, it means that the account has been punished at level 5, which means that the cumulative deductions for the store have reached 15 points. Therefore, when operating a store, you must pay attention to the relevant rules and regulations to avoid being deducted points. If the deductions are too high, the account will be frozen.

What behaviors will cause deductions on Shopee?

1. Repeated listing

Duplicate listing refers to listing products with exactly the same product information or highly similar main information on the same site multiple times. Whether it is the same seller or different sellers, duplicate listings will be deleted by the platform. Therefore, sellers cannot completely copy products from sellers on the same site, nor can they list two identical products in the same store.

2. Misplaced categories/brands

When listing products, if you intentionally put the product in the wrong category, or use the brand logo on unauthorized products, the product will be removed from the platform once it is detected; repeatedly listing products in the wrong category/brand will result in points being deducted. In addition, if the seller is complained for suspected sales of counterfeit or infringing products, 1-2 points will be deducted (2-3 points will be counted for the Taiwan site).

3. Late shipment rate

The late shipment rate is calculated based on the time it takes for the package to arrive at the domestic transit warehouse and be scanned after the seller clicks on the shipment button.

Calculation of delayed orders: DTS (working days) + 2 natural days. Orders that have not been scanned in the warehouse will be recorded as delayed orders (DTS is the preparation time set by the seller in the background, and the default DTS is 2 days);

Shopee has strengthened sellers’ delivery management, and the statistical time for late delivery rate has been shortened from 30 days to 7 days.

Late delivery rate = (number of orders shipped late in the past 7 days / total number of orders shipped in the past 7 days) * 100%; for example: in Taiwan and Vietnam markets, if 3 out of 30 orders were placed in the past 7 days and they were counted as late orders, the store will be deducted 2 points. (The specific deduction standards for each market are different);

Shopee merchants must avoid the above behaviors when opening a store. Once these behaviors occur, the store will be deducted points. If it reaches 15 points, the store will freeze the account, causing trouble for the merchant!
