The overage inventory on Amazon needs to be handled by the merchant, otherwise your products may be disposed of by the authorities. 1. Overage inventory: inventory that has been stored in the operation center for more than 365 days and is subject to long-term storage fees;

2. Idle inventory: ASINs that have no sales records for six consecutive months or more and have been stored in Amazon's fulfillment centers for more than 180 days.

This is the first time that Amazon has forced sellers to remove their overstocked inventory. In the past, as long as sellers paid the storage fees, they could keep their goods in Amazon warehouses, but now it seems that this is no longer possible. Since sellers are willing to pay high storage fees to store goods for a long time, the value of the goods is generally high and they are reluctant to abandon them. Now that Amazon is forcing warehouses to move, sellers have to find a way to deal with these inventory goods.

Generally speaking, sellers will almost always look for US overseas warehouses to receive these relocated goods. Sellers decide whether to relabel these inventory goods and sell them, store them in overseas warehouses for a period of time, or directly ship them to customers through overseas warehouses based on market conditions. After communicating with overseas warehouse staff, once the seller successfully relocates the goods on the Amazon platform, Amazon will deliver the goods to the US overseas warehouse, and the warehouse will notify the seller when it receives the goods.

If the product needs to be relabeled and put back on the shelves, the seller will send instructions to the US overseas warehouse staff to operate, and all product labels will be replaced and repacked. The seller can use Amazon's self-pickup service or let the overseas warehouse logistics deliver the goods to the FBA warehouse.

If sellers need overseas warehouses to store inventory, they need to upload the incoming data to the system, and then pay a monthly storage fee that is much lower than Amazon's storage fees to store the goods for a long time.

After the first-leg service of the US overseas warehouse solves the complex problems of transportation, customs declaration, customs clearance, etc., there is no need to worry about customs declaration and customs clearance of goods in the warehouse. You can wait for orders and ship at any time. Direct delivery from the US overseas warehouse to the customer is equivalent to domestic express delivery, and the cost is much lower than sending from China to the United States.

Amazon’s overage inventory can currently be re-stored by changing warehouses, but the platform does not allow products to occupy inventory forever, even if you are willing to pay a high fee. But in the past, as long as merchants were willing to pay, they could ignore these overage inventory products.
