How often are Amazon's replenishment limits updated? How to deal with Amazon's replenishment restrictions?

When opening a store on Amazon, merchants may be restricted from replenishing goods. This is to ensure that all goods have available space during peak periods and to ensure the normal operation of goods. So how often are Amazon's replenishment restrictions updated? Next, we will explain this aspect to you.

Amazon warehouse limits order information to be updated every 15 minutes, feedback and return information to be updated every 30 minutes, and product reviews to be updated every 6 hours.

Seller accounts with a score below 350 will have their inventory restricted until the next quarter when their score is back above 350. Overage fees will be charged at a rate of $10 per cubic foot per month.

Sellers with a score equal to or higher than 350 have no inventory restrictions, but still have to pay normal FBA short-term and long-term storage fees.

How to deal with Amazon replenishment restrictions?

1. Improve IPI score

Sellers with high IPI scores will receive higher storage limits, which can also be adjusted based on sales volume and available capacity. When setting quarterly limits, Amazon will take into account both the seller’s recent sales volume and last year’s seasonal sales volume.

2. Third-party logistics (3PL)

Another way to deal with restrictive Amazon FBA inventory limits is to build your own warehouse or work with a third-party logistics (3PL). 3PL can store your own inventory and handle FBM (Fulfillment by Amazon) orders.

3. Delete redundant shipment plans

The number of replenishment shipments allowed = the maximum inventory level allowed - the inventory limit usage; however, it does not specify how the "maximum inventory level allowed" and "inventory limit usage" are calculated. In fact, the maximum inventory level allowed is generally = average daily sales quantity * 90 days;

Amazon generally allows most products to have enough storage space for more than 3 months of sales. The inventory limit is the usage = inventory quantity + incoming shipments (including those in transit) + inventory waiting to be removed + inventory reserved for orders to be delivered. Therefore, when you find that the available quantity is small and the allowed replenishment quantity is too small, you should first consider this issue: Is the number of incoming shipments (including those in transit) too large, or is the transportation too slow.

In fact, Amazon's replenishment restrictions can be avoided. You can follow some of the tips above to control your own goods. This can avoid it to a certain extent and ensure the normal sales of goods!
