Is there a future for foreign trade salesmen? How much is the salary?

Many college students major in international trade or business English, and their jobs after graduation are basically foreign trade salespersons. There are many companies doing foreign trade now, and such jobs are relatively easy to find. So, is there a future for being a foreign trade salesperson?

1. Is there a future for foreign trade salesmen?

Promising

Being a foreign trade salesperson is still very promising. After all, international trade is still very popular now. Whether it is cross-border e-commerce or traditional foreign trade, it is very promising. However, no matter what industry you are in, only 20% can make a lot of money. This is our 80/20 rule.

If you choose to work in cross-border e-commerce, you can go to Amazon, AliExpress and other platforms, where there are great opportunities for development. However, you must be willing to work hard and work overtime, after all, the competition in this industry is also very fierce.

2. How much is the salary?

It depends on the city. Salaries in first- and second-tier cities are slightly higher, while those in inland cities are lower. If you are in Shenzhen, the base salary for fresh graduates is mostly 4k-5k. In new first-tier cities or second-tier cities, the base salary is mostly 3k-3.5k.

Foreign trade salesmen basically have a base salary plus commissions. The commissions depend on the situation of each company. Some are based on 1%-3% of sales, while others are based on 10%-20% of gross profit. Meal allowances, housing allowances, transportation subsidies, performance awards, performance awards, year-end bonuses, etc. also depend on the situation of each company.

In general, fresh graduates can get 5k-10k+. With experience, the basic salary will also increase.

In fact, the threshold for this position is relatively low. Many companies welcome fresh graduates and people with zero experience who love foreign trade to join. The English requirement is not high. In terms of education, it is usually a college degree or above. Large-scale companies may require a bachelor's degree or above.

Generally speaking, foreign trade salesmen have a bright future, but we need to find a relatively large company, which has better benefits and better development prospects. In addition to the size of the company, your own efforts are also very important. In short, you have to pay to get something in return.
