Is Amazon’s account closure permanent? What happens if your store is closed?

If you do not follow the rules when shopping on Amazon, it is easy to cause your account to be blocked due to violations. After the account is blocked, it cannot be used anymore. Is the account closure by Amazon permanent?

1. Is Amazon’s account closure permanent?

What happens after an Amazon seller’s store closes ?

1. If you have a North American affiliate account, all other eligible accounts will be closed when you close your account. For example, if you close a US account, your Canadian and Mexican accounts will also be closed. The easiest way to determine if you have a North American affiliate account is to check if there is a mall switch.

2. If you have registered for the Tax Calculation Service, please review the Downgrade/Upgrade and Tax Calculation Service pages for important information before closing your account.

3. After closing a seller account, the seller will no longer be able to access the account. The seller cannot view order history, process returns, refunds, respond to Amazon Marketplace Transaction Protection claims, or communicate with buyers.

4. If the seller cannot complete the seller's sales activities within 90 days. This is to ensure that the claims submitted during the Amazon Marketplace Transaction Security Claim Period are processed. If the seller has any pending Amazon Marketplace Transaction Protection claims, the seller's account must be available before processing. The seller's account balance must be zero before the account can be closed.

If you close your account on Amazon, it will be permanent. If it is blocked by the platform, there will be a time limit, which may be a week or a month. If it is permanently blocked, you will not be able to use it anymore.
