You can create a return from an existing order if at least one of the order items has been shipped and not yet refunded. If no order items have been shipped, you should refund and restock the order instead.

If you purchased a shipping label for your order but didn't use it, void the label before creating your return.

From your Shopify admin, go to Orders.

Click the order that you want to refund.

Click Return.

Enter the quantity of the item in the order that you want to return.

In the Return Shipping Options section, select one of the following options:

Click Create Return.

If you choose to create a return label, you are prompted to create and send the label. For instructions, see Create and send a return label.

How to cancel a return?

If you created a return in error, or if your customer changed their mind about requesting a return, you can cancel a return that you created.

You can only cancel a return if:

No refund was given on return.

Returned goods are not restocked.

The return is open but not marked as returned.

There is no ShopifyShipping return label for returns.

Shipments made for returns are not canceled.

Once you cancel a return, you cannot reactivate it, but you can create a new return.
