Updates to the criteria for preferred sellers and mall sellers in Shopee Philippines and Singapore

Shopee Philippines and Singapore will update the criteria for preferred sellers and mall sellers (the criteria are as follows). Once a seller becomes a preferred seller/mall seller, Shopee will continue to monitor the seller's performance indicators.

1. Philippines Site, Selection Criteria for Preferred Sellers

New policy effective date:

If the seller wants to join the Preferred/Preferred+ program:

The new policy will take effect on March 13 (based on the seller's store performance data during February). If the new policy indicator requirements are not met after this date, you will not be able to become a preferred seller.

Shopee will evaluate eligible sellers, and sellers who meet all the indicators to become preferred will receive an invitation letter from Shopee in the Seller Center.

If the seller is already a Preferred/Preferred+ seller:

The first batch of unqualified sellers will lose their Preferred Seller status on March 25 (based on the sellers’ store performance data from February and March). Sellers are advised to closely monitor their store performance to avoid losing their Preferred Seller status.

Shopee will evaluate the seller's store performance. If the seller fails to meet the policy requirements, he or she will lose the qualification of preferred seller.

2. Singapore Site, Selection Criteria for Preferred Sellers

New policy effective date:

If the seller wants to join the Preferred/Preferred+ program:

The new policy will take effect on April 1 (based on the seller's store performance data during March). If the new policy indicator requirements are not met after this date, you will not be able to become a preferred seller.

Shopee will evaluate eligible sellers, and sellers who meet all the indicators to become preferred will receive an invitation letter from Shopee in the Seller Center.

If the seller is already a Preferred/Preferred+ seller:

The first batch of unqualified sellers will lose their Preferred Seller status on May 6 (based on the sellers’ store performance data in April). Sellers are advised to closely monitor their store performance to avoid losing their Preferred Seller status.

Shopee will evaluate the seller's store performance. If the seller fails to meet the policy requirements, he or she will lose the qualification of preferred seller.

Note: You need to closely monitor your performance through the Preferred Seller page to avoid losing Preferred Seller status. If you receive an alert notification (yellow Attention! icon), you need to take proactive actions to improve your performance.

If you do not take any corrective action on the indicators that have been warned, you will lose your Preferred Seller status. You can see the specific date when you will lose your Preferred Seller status on the Preferred Seller page (red Attention! icon).

3. Singapore site, mall seller standards

New policy effective date:

If the seller wants to become a mall seller:

The new policy will take effect on April 1 (based on the seller's store performance data during February). If you fail to meet the new policy indicator requirements after this date, you will not be able to become a mall seller.

If the seller is already a mall seller, it is recommended that the seller closely monitor the store performance:

Shopee will evaluate the seller's store performance. If the seller fails to meet the policy requirements, he or she will lose the mall seller qualification in the next month.

The first batch of unqualified sellers will lose their eligibility to be a seller on May 7 (based on the sellers’ store performance data from March and April). Sellers are advised to closely monitor their store performance to avoid losing their eligibility to be a seller on the Mall.
