eBay UK adds new features to Advanced Promoted Listings beta

eBay UK announced that it has developed new features for the Advanced Promoted Listings Advanced BETA to help sellers improve their ability to reach more customers.

eBay has added more ad space at the top of search results to help sellers expose more products and reach interested buyers from the most trafficked locations on eBay. Compared to before, this update will give sellers more opportunities to increase the visibility of their listings.

Promoted Listings Standard and organic listings are still eligible to appear in the top 4 search results. Sellers need to optimize their listings and ensure that they are of high quality to have a chance to appear in the top positions.

In addition to adding more ad space at the top of search results, eBay is also launching several new features for sellers:

First, the report function has been updated. The seller's search query report will display the search keywords and buyer query times of the listing to help sellers better understand the advertising campaign and reduce the number of reports that need to be downloaded.

Second, add negative phrase matching. Using this keyword matching type, you can ensure that the listing will not appear in searches that are irrelevant to the buyer. Instead, the listing will only appear in relevant searches. For example, if you use the negative phrase keyword "red dress" and the buyer searches for "red dress size 10", the listing will not be displayed in the buyer's search results.

Currently, the above new features are all online. Sellers can try the new features by creating a new listing or adjusting the original listing.

It is worth mentioning that in July this year, eBay UK issued an announcement stating that based on feedback from sellers, the platform is making some changes to stores to boost sellers’ sales.

Specifically, eBay will strengthen protection for sellers. Sellers with more listings will be eligible for enhanced seller protection provided by eBay for sellers with seller ratings above standard or highest;

Sellers can get support and education. eBay is offering investment programs such as eBay Business Tour and eBay Academy advanced courses. To promote sales, eBay is upgrading stores to help sellers strengthen their business and attract more customers.

Sellers can receive payments on demand, which gives them more flexibility in receiving payments. This feature can help sellers solve cash flow problems.
