Is Lazada's weight based on volume or weight? What is Lazada's delivery process?

Merchants who open stores on the Lazada platform will understand the logistics model before the first shipment, because there are several delivery modes for Lazada platform stores, and the delivery speed, price, etc. of different delivery modes are different. So, does Lazada's weight depend on volume or only weight?

Is Lazada's weight based on volume or weight?

Lazada Chinese sellers mainly ship goods through the official logistics LGS, so the international shipping costs are calculated according to the LGS charging standards.

Lazada's LGS shipping fee is generally charged based on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. The calculation formula for volumetric weight is: (length * width * height) / 6000. The unit is cm; the weight is mainly calculated in units of 10g.

When using LGS for delivery, the package must meet the following conditions:

a.Weight limit: ≤20KG.

b. Volume limit: length + width + height ≤ 300CM.

c. For restricted shipping products, please negotiate with the buyer to cancel the order to avoid being intercepted and cancelled by the platform.

What is the Lazada delivery process?

Step 1: Ship to Lazada domestic warehouse

First, the seller must activate the LGS service, mainly by sending an email to customer service, and then ship the goods to a domestic warehouse.

Lazada has three main warehouses in China: Shenzhen, Yiwu and Hong Kong; sellers have to contact the courier or logistics company themselves to transport the goods to any warehouse.

Step 2: Lazada consolidates shipments to overseas destinations

After Lazada receives the goods from the seller, it will classify the products by site, and then arrange international freight at the same time, and ship them to Lazada's warehouses in various countries; deliver them through local customs brokers 3PL, through local sorting centers, to various important city sites.

Step 3: Delivery to the buyer

After arriving at the destination, Lazada will deliver it to the buyer through its own logistics or 3PL; generally most sellers will choose official logistics delivery.

For 3PL, customs declaration is required first, and then sorting and delivery, so the process is relatively complicated.

Also, after the buyer receives the goods, he does not need to confirm receipt. As long as the logistics shows that the goods have been delivered, the seller can receive the payment.

I have shared with you the shipping fee calculation rules on the Lazada platform. Currently, the Lazada platform has regulations on the weight and volume of goods. If they exceed the range, additional charges will be required, so everyone must check before shipping and determine how to reduce shipping costs.
